Wiesmann as a finalist at the Brand Award 2010
The sports car manufacturer Wiesmann has achieved high recognition at this year´s Brand Award from the magazine absatzwirtschaft. Wiesmann was one of three finalists in the category “Best New Brand”. The Henkel brand Syoss won the competition, Wiesmann and Cewe Color were honored as finalists. The price is awarded each year and is given to companies with excellent performances in brand management.
A Jury with representatives from science, associations and companies judged the submitted documentation and nominated three finalists per category. In January 2010 the three finalists had to give a final presentation. Jan Molitor, Marketing Director of Wiesmann received the certification for being one of the finalists amidst of more than 1000 decision makers from marketing, agencies and media. “For Wiesmann as a small company the award is something very special. We are very happy to be recognized by the jury of experts. This confirms the excellent performance of all involved parties. We will keep on our efforts to move our brand forward on this fiercely competitive market”, said Jan Molitor in the Düsseldorf Capitol Theatre.

Wiesmann at the Motor Show Geneva 2010:
GT MF4-S starts at 133.800 Euro
Silver grey with olive-green elements. One of the eye catchers of the Geneva Motor Show is the new edition of the Wiesmann GT MF4-S. The sports car is now available and starts at 133.800 Euro. The price is quoted ex works and includes the German value-added-tax. For this sum the owner receives a breathtaking design coupled with an impressive driving performance. The high-revving 4.0 litre V8 engine which delivers 420 hp (309 kW) accelerates the Wiesmann GT MF4-S from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds and a maximum speed of 300 km/h.
Visitors will find the Wiesmann booth at the Geneva Motor Show during the 4th to 14th march in hall 1, stand 1243. On 160 square meters the manufactory from Duelmen shows all handmade Wiesmann sports cars.

Wiesmann nomination for the PR Report Award 2010
The idea: Two Wiesmann workers build exclusive and unique a Wiesmann sports car in front of the IAA audience in Frankfurt during the period from 15. to 27. September. What brought a couple of month ago numerous visitors to the exhibition booth of the sports car manufacturer and even a lot of Media coverage is now appreciated by the expert jury of the PR Report Awards 2010. Wiesmann and the both concerned agencies, the communication agency Faktor 3 AG from Hamburg and the advertising agency Living Concept from Muenster, are nominated for the action "Wiesmann build a car at the IAA" in the category „Consumer Marketing". "We are very pleased, that our unique project is recognised by the communication branch. It is a confirmation of the excellent work of all concerned parties", explains Jan Molitor Marketing Director of Wiesmann about the nomination. From now on it's time for all sports car enthusiasts to keep the fingers crossed when on 22. April in Berlin all coveted awards will be handed over.

IAA world premiere: the Wiesmann Roadster MF5
Sports car manufacturer showcases a limited production model
Wiesmann, the luxury sports car maker, will be presenting an absolutely
stunning example of its hand-crafted sports car range - the Wiesmann
Roadster MF5 - to visitors at the 63rd International Motor Show in
Frankfurt.
The Wiesmann Roadster MF5 takes even experienced
sports car enthusiasts into a brand new dimension of driving enjoyment,
delivering a top speed of 310 km/h and completing the sprint from
standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. This exclusive open-air
experience will only be available to a select few because the spirited
power package is only being produced in a limited edition of 55 sports
cars.
Wiesmann is exhibiting at Booth B18 in Hall 5.

Wiesmann among the top 5 German luxury-brands
A ranking announced every other year by the economy-week and the Munic brand-agency Brand Rating, shows that the sportscar factory Wiesmann has increased from a good 7th place to an even better result of a 5th place. The ranking is quantifying criteria like Brand-Appeal and price-level in different luxury sections. At the top of the list there is stick the watch-manufacturer Lange and Son. The second place is taken by the car brand Maybach and another watch manufacturer named Glashütte.
Wiesmann is the only brand, besides the jeweller Wellendorff that can show an increase in placing under the Top 30. Marketing chief Jan Molitor´s feedback: “We are really happy that we actually got a positive result for all of the efforts we have made about the different ways of communication that showed positive changes in the brand management of Wiesmann”.

Wiesmann at the IAA 2009
For sports car fans this year in particular the Hall 5 of the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt/Main is worth a visit. Wiesmann, the german manufactury of purist sports cars, presents from 17 to 27 September 2009 at booth B18 their handmade Roadster and GT. During ten days the visitors can experience on 338 square meters exhibition area, the different models of this sports cars manufacturer.
With Aston Martin and Porsche Wiesmann is in good company in Hall 5. “After a successful Auto Salon in Geneva we are pleased to present this year our cars in Frankfurt too,” said CEO Friedhelm Wiesmann.
Wiesmann can be found in hall 5, booth B18.

Wiesmann Roadster MF3 ranked second in readers’ choice award of German automotive magazine sport auto
The Wiesmann Roadster MF3 is placed second in readers’ choice award of
German automotive magazine sport auto and is thus one of the most
sportive cars 2009. In the category for convertibles and roadsters up
to 120,000 Euro, the Roadster MF3 won 22.3 percent among the three
most-mentioned vehicles. The winner Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabrio
received with 24.3 percent only a few more votes. The BMW M3 Cabrio
ranked third with 13.0 percent of votes. The award ceremony took place
Thursday as part of a gala in Stuttgart, editor in chief Horst von
Saurma handed over the prize to Jan Molitor, Wiesmann Head of
Marketing.
"We are pleased about this outstanding ranking,
because it shows how much we can inspire the automotive skilled readers
of the magazine sport auto with our hand-crafted sports cars." says
Friedhelm Wiesmann, Managing Director. Since the start of production in
1993, around 800 Wiesmann MF3 Roadster have left the Dülmen factory.

Wiesmann to provide the safety car for the FIA GT Championship 2009
Wiesmann presented itself as part of the high performance sport car series FIA GT. The Dülmen based sports car manufacturer is providing vehicles to act as the official safety car for the eight races of this year’s championship.
The FIA GT Championship takes place at eight race tracks in eight different countries. The German race is taking place on 21. June 2009 in Oschersleben.

The New Wiesmann Roadster MF4: A Driving Experience Beyond Description
Today the eyes of the automobile world are on Geneva. At the 79th Motor Show the sports car manufacturer Wiesmann presents in hall 2, stand 1234 the new Wiesmann Roadster MF4. This new model makes an impressive addition to the Wiesmann Company's range of soft-top sports cars. A completely new car has been born with the Wiesmann Roadster MF4, which is now available alongside the classic Wiesmann Roadster MF3. Like all Wiesmann sports cars, the Roadster MF4 is built entirely by hand.

Wiesmann GT MF4 is now available with a choice of two engines
The sports car manufacturer Wiesmann has improved the power of the GT MF4, and the V8 Coupé is now available with an engine that outputs 420 hp (270 kW), in addition to the existing model with 367 hp (270 kW). The curve-loving V8 with 3,999 cm3 capacity is powered, like all Wiesmann engines, by BMW. The very light aluminium monocoque and composite body of the sports car from Westphalia can output 400 Nm of torque with ease. The so-called GT MF4-S can be coupled with either a manual or an automatic dual-clutch gear box. The two-seater is also equipped with an airbag for both driver and co-driver, as are the other GT MF4 and MF5 models.
